Great Week & Visit to the Fire Station

In this post Haley is 7 months and 2 days old:

This was a great week, and the tubes in Haley's ears really seem to be making a difference. She is eating with less resistance, and is happy almost all the time. It has really been a blessing. As I told you in the last post, Myla turned One last weekend. Since she got ALL kinds of new toys, she was kind enough to share some with Haley that she wasn't real interested in anymore. Haley loves them all but her favorite is the Karaoke Machine. She LOVES the music and LOVES looking in the mirror, and especially likes when she can see Ethan or I behind her in the mirror. She finds that very funny!


As you can see from the picture below, Haley continues to grow like a weed :) She has a very healthy appetite and doesn't leave anything behind. I guess she learned from her Pappaw, "Take all you want but eat all you take!"

Haley and I paid a visit to Daddy at the fire station today. She has been there many times, but it seems we always forget the camera. We remembered it today, and got some great pictures, though in the one below, she was more interested in biting her lip than smiling for the camera. We are fairly certain that her 4th tooth is getting ready to break through, so she has been chewing on her lip constantly!

Fun in the Sun

We had a wonderful weekend. On Saturday, we were invited to the first birthday party of our good friend and neighbor, Myla. It is so hard to believe that she is a year old already. I guess it just goes to show how quickly time flies!

We had a nice relaxing weekend, spent the evening with Rachel and Jason, and Jody and Kimberly. Always fun, and always too short.

Haley is doing great, on Friday she got her third, yes THIRD, tooth. The top left one has come in. She is handling it rather well, though we are starting to really see her personality surface! She can pitch quite the fit, that is for sure!

We have been enjoying watching Haley discover her voice, and she keeps us laughing on a regular basis. Ethan decided to break out his SLR camera, and as you can see below, we got some wonderful pictures.

Cute Picture & Mom Skiing

Hello all! Hope everyone had a Happy 4th of July weekend! We had a great one, and wish we could have had a few extra days off. Oh well, we are thankful for the ones we had. Haley spent Friday with a new babysitter, Hannah Vanderford. She had a great time! Then Grammy & Pappaw picked her up, and she spent the night with them, while Ethan and I enjoyed a night to oursleves! Saturday, Ethan had to work, so Haley and I spent the day with my parents. It was a lot of fun, and everyone enjoyed themselves!

Sunday, Ethan, Rachel, Jason, Adam, Lori and I all went out to Sardis for a day on the lake. Haley stayed with our good friend Nita, and had a blast. I am pretty sure Nita spoiled her slap rotten. As you can see in the picture below, I skiied for a little bit. I was rather excited that even at 30 years old, I can still get up and ski on one ski!

Hope this finds everyone well. The picture of Haley was take on Sunday and she is 6 months and 18 days old in that picture!

Oh, one last thing, yesterday was Mom's birthday, so we want to send out a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mom/Grammy/Whipple!

Passed out ready for bed. When she's had a long day, she'll fall asleep drinking her bottle, and no amount of moving or jiggling will wake her. It is pretty funny!

Coast Trip

We went to the Mississippi Gulf Coast to visit Ethan's family as well as some dear friends of ours. Ethan's Aunt Susie got to meet Haley for the first time, and his Mom and Dad got some much needed Haley time! Memaw tried her best to send Ethan and I home and keep Haley with her! NO WAY! We couldn't give up our baby girl that easily!!! Maybe more incentive to get them to Oxford :)
Haley had a great trip, dispite the fact she got her fifth ear infection. We called the doctor, and they called in an antibiotic, and we went to see them when we got back. She did indeed have an ear infection, her 5th in 4 months, and so on July 2, 2008, Haley got tubes in her ears. She is doing great, didn't phase her a bit! Hopefully this will solve our ear infection problem! We can hope!

So, many of you might remember that I had the stomach virus not too long ago. Well, Ethan had to work at the fire station (and that meant he wouldn't be exposed) and my parents volunteered to keep Haley for the night, so I could get better. Well, Mom called and asked me to get some stuff together for Haley, and Dad would pick it up. This is what I found when I opened the door....crazy guy!
